There are plenty of handy online sourcing tools for recruiters to choose from. With so much choice out there, we’ve compiled a (non-exhaustive!) list of our favourite tools and Google Chrome extensions. This list includes tools for sourcing candidates, sourcing contact information, finding out about a candidate’s personality and automating LinkedIn messages.
Intelligence Search is a great tool and makes sourcing talent a doddle! You can search across Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. It allows you to find people by name, job, location, age, gender, their friends, the groups they are members of etc. It’s free to add to Google Chrome and we recommend that you give it a try.
Followerwonk helps recruiters to find potential candidates based on their Twitter bio. It uses Boolean to search specifically inside the location and the bio fields of Twitter users. You can then filter the results to see how many times they have tweeted, how many followers they have etc.
Dux-Soup is a valuable and useful plugin to help you track all the leads you uncover on LinkedIn. There is a free edition and a professional (paid-for) edition which only works out around £10 per month. We’d recommend upgrading to the professional edition to take advantage of all the great features. These include auto-invites with personalised message, auto-messages to 1st degree connections and the ability to download a list of profiles on to a CSV file.
Crystal shows you the best way to communicate with any prospect, customer, or co-worker based on their unique personality. It allows you understand personality differences so that you can communicate more effectively and build stronger relationships. It’s free to use so why not give it a try?
Lusha makes it really easy to source email addresses, phone numbers and social media profiles with just one click. Lusha’s Chrome extension automatically scans the profile page you are visiting and provides the most up-to-date contact information, in full compliance with the required data regulations. The plugin currently supports LinkedIn, Salesforce and Twitter. There are a number of different plans to choose from. The free plan provides you with 5 credits per month, so it’s worth giving it a go to see if it’s a tool you could be benefiting from.
ContactOut adds a powerful overlay on top of LinkedIn profiles. You’ll see phone numbers, email addresses, and links to social media profiles. Again, just like Lusha, you’ll receive 5 credits with the free plan. It’s definitely a favourite of the Candidate.ID Research and Sourcing team.
RocketReach allows you to find email addresses and phone numbers, given name, company, or LinkedIn URL for individuals. The Chrome extension enables you to lookup emails directly from search results and profile pages. It’s free to sign up, and (yes, you guessed it!) you’ll receive 5 lookups per month on the free plan.
Hiretual is a great tool for sourcing. A great feature of Hiretual is its Boolean building tools. You can use it to create Boolean strings around specific jobs or even based on a candidate’s details making it much simpler to source AND match candidates to jobs. There’s also the option of finding contact information, as well as being able to analyse their skills and profiles. You can even integrate Hiretual with your Gmail or Outlook account to build reusable email templates. There is a free option that is available which will give you 10 contact lookups per week.
Hunter (previously known as Email Hunter) is a tool used for sourcing email addresses, from any website and it works really well on LinkedIn. A great feature to this tool is that you can find verified email addresses or get a confidence score in percentage for each. With their free plan, you’ll receive a generous 100 searches per month.
People.Camp is a great tool you can use to import and organise social media profiles. View thousands of online profiles with just one easy click. It also enables you to automate LinkedIn invites and messages. You can let it run while you’re in a meeting, on your lunch break or in the evening – great for saving time and being more efficient! We recommend signing up for a demo.
