CityFibre creating dynamic talent pipelines with Candidate.ID

CityFibre is the UK’s third national digital infrastructure platform. With existing networks in more than 60 towns and cities, CityFibre provides wholesale connectivity to multiple business and consumer service providers, local authorities and mobile operators, and has network rollouts underway with plans to pass up to 8 million homes and businesses with open-access full fibre infrastructure. In 2020 the business doubled in size Year on Year to 1,500 employees and targets growth to 2,300 employees across 2021.

Recruitment Challenges

CityFibre’s biggest challenges lie around hiring in-demand talent at scale, mainly specialist roles across the UK. The immediate focus is on ‘Network Build’ roles – Fibre Network Planners and Build Assurance Engineers. There is such a competitive market for these roles which makes attracting them even harder.

Objectives

Their objectives for 2021 are focusing on “going from good to great”, creating dynamic talent pipelines across 6 primary divisions, improving recruitment operational effectiveness and cost effectiveness at scale.

The plan

Working with Candidate.ID will allow CityFibre to fulfil these objectives.

The current database for Network Build contains around 3500 candidates. This is currently being built out to identify the total addressable market.

Talent Works is the RPO provider for CityFibre. They are using programmatic media campaigns in order to target individuals who will then be added into pipelines creating personalised experiences to engage, nurture and convert them.

Candidate.ID will determine which candidates are cold, warm and ‘hire-ready’ in real-time, based on tracking and scoring their engagements with CityFibre’s online assets.

The team at Talent Works will then be able to demonstrate ROI to CityFibre from every email, landing page, link click and LinkedIn page sent.
