5 Recruitment Podcasts Every Recruiter Should Listen To

09.07.21 | Talent Acquisition

Why should recruiters listen to podcasts? Well, they’re interesting, they provide value, they’re entertaining, and you can listen to them on the go. At Candidate.ID, we have some favourite podcasts that we like to listen to, whether it be at the office, on our morning commute, in the evenings at home or even on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

We’ve compiled a list of 5 of our favourite recruitment podcasts that we recommend you listen to.

1. The Chad and Cheese Podcast

Described as ‘HR’s Most Dangerous Podcast’, it’s hosted by industry experts Chad Sowash and Joel Cheesman. We recommend you subscribe as they discuss a wide variety of topics and news around recruitment and HR.

They’re both straight-to-the-point and recruiters tune in weekly to hear insights and news from startups, vendors and more. Our CEO, Adam, recently joined Chad and Cheese live from TAtech in Lisbon where they discussed Candidate.ID following TAtech’s Death Match on 9th May. Listen to it here.

2. Recruiting Future

This weekly podcast is hosted by talent acquisition consultant and recruitment marketing expert, Matt Alder. Each week, the show takes a look at a wide range of topics including recruitment automation, in-house recruiting, people analytics and talent branding.

Matt’s podcast features interviews with some industry leaders, making it a great way for recruiters to stay up-to-date with current trends and insights. What more value could you want from a podcast?

Listen in here to one of our favourite episodes ft. Allyn Bailey as they chat about Responding To A Changing Talent Market. This is the future and something every recruitment and talent acquisition leader should be thinking about.

3. The Recruiting Animal Show

Hosted by Animal (AKA Michael Kelemen), this weekly show is not for those who are easily offended! Animal’s style is loud and intense, but he does provide good insights which makes it one of our favourites.

He interviews some of the industry’s leaders about a range of topics including recruiting, sourcing, HR tech and social media marketing. Adam recently joined Animal to chat talent pipelines and you can listen in here.

4. Recruiting Brainfood Live On Air

A weekly show hosted by Hung Lee every Friday at 4pm (UK). This show discusses the valuable content shared in Hung’s newsletter the previous Sunday and is a great way to end your week!

If you haven’t signed up for his Recruiting Brainfood newsletter – do it now. It’s packed full of great content including latest recruitment news, events and trends.

The show takes a deeper dive in to the articles highlighted in the newsletter with industry experts. Adam recently filled in for Hung as host, where he was joined by Christina Robinson and Randy Moore as they discussed a range of topics including Oleg Vishnepolsky. Is he real? Is he a bot? Listen in and find out what they thought.

5. The Social Recruiting Show

This show is hosted by Katrina Collier every Friday at 3pm (UK).

Guests on the show include people in the HR, Talent Acquisition, Recruitment, and Employer Branding space about a range of topics including social media, branding, recruitment, marketing and more. It’s a light-hearted show and a great way to expand your knowledge.

The latest episode can be found here and the next episode is coming on 26th July.

Happy listening – we hope you find them valuable!
