This week (September, 2020) we appointed Mike Hughes as our Chief Technology Officer.
Mike is an experienced technology sector leader, previously CTO and Chief Executive Officer at Graham Technology which grew from a bedroom in Glasgow’s south side to £25m turnover, employing 400 people and exit to Sword Group in 2008. He went on to become Chief Operating Officer at Sword managing a team of 600 internationally, responsible for £100m turnover. Since then, he has worked in a range of start-ups and multi-nationals, including in the recruitment sector. Most recently, he spent around 2 years as General Manager at Leidos’s global airports division.
Mike joins a strong leadership team at Candidate.ID. Alongside co-founders, Adam Gordon and Scot McRae, Jane Mackie was appointed as CFO in early 2019. She was previously in the same role at Idox plc. The business has since hired Doug Sawers as Chair, who has nearly 30 years’ board level experience in international listed and private equity-backed companies, including considerable time spent in the HR software and services industry at Ceridian UK.
In the last 18 months the business has raised £1.6m VC investment which has enabled considerable growth in market traction. Candidate.ID’s sophisticated candidate engagement technology, packaged in a simple-to-use interface, connects with companies’ core HR systems and is credited with improving recruitment teams’ productivity by as much as 50%.
Candidate.ID customers include several FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies including BUPA, IQVIA, Nielsen, Specsavers and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
